Mr C.J.Greenwood, Fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge, has prepared the summaries of the decisions of the International Court and of some of the English cases. Mr Hugh Paton, Fellow of Robinson College, Cambridge, has prepared the summaries os the judgments of the Court of the European Communities. Mr Fergal Martin has summerised the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and has, as well, compiled not only the Tables of Treaties and ofCases relating to this volume but also the Index. The Commonwealth cases were selected and summarised by Mr Sudipto Sarkar. The German cases were translated by Mr Otto Lampe. The cases for the United States were contributed partly by the late Professor Alona Evans and pertly by Miss Julia Buchanan and Miss Sally Morris. Mr Greenwood and Mr Martin have also borne much of the general editorial burden. Mrs Janet Linington has provided great assistance in guiding us through our first experiments in the use of computers for the consolidation of the tables of cases and Millford Reprographics International Limited have set by computer the pages which contain those tables. Mr M. K. Carr and Mr Houston P. Lowry have given valuable help in checking proofs. Mrs Rainbow has printed the volume. I acknowledge with deep gratitude the help of all who have thus played a part in the appearance of this volume. 0aInternational Law Reports
