Abstrak | This book has been a tremendous learning experience and have been very fortunate to have had the support to several people during the process. This book attemps to high light some of the doors opened by a degree and/ or experience in criminology and criminal justice. The book is organized into five substantive chapters, bookended with an introduction and conclusion. Each chapter covers one of primary fields within criminology and criminal justice: law enforcement, the legal profession, the public and social sectors, corrections, and alternatives to these more conventional fields. The first chapter, on law enforcement, explores the different levels of policing and career options in policing at each of these levels, including the RCMP, Military police, and Aboriginal police services. The next chapter on the legal profession, the public and social sectors, corrections, and "roads less travelled": |
