| Abstrak | In 1989 the UN General Assembly adopted the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child heralding the arrival of a new era in the development of childrens' rights. Using the Convention as a framework, the distinguished contributors to this volume set out to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of approaching issues of approach. Their aim is to take a fresh look at these issues, with specific reference to an international treaty which has already been ratified by well over one hundred countries throughout the world. |
