Abstrak | The author has expanded the learning tools at the front and back of the chapter to include glossaries, enhanced reading lists, discussion questions, and study review questions. Inside every chapter except for the last one is a policy box that shows how policy issues in criminal justice always have ethical implications. The author kept and added to the quotations featured in each chapter, but have accompanied them with "queries" to aid the instructor in leading the discussion of the principles involved. There are also class exercises, where appropriate, for the instructor to use in classroom discussions. The book identifies themes that run through the entire system so that, for instance, issues such as discretion and due process are discussed in chapters concerning practitioners in law enforcement, the courts, and corrections. |
