I. Judul ; From The Preface:Reflecting both the press of events and editorial judgments, the changes made for the seventh edition of Points of View have been extensive. We have added two new topics. Under the general topics of Elections, in Chapter 7, we have included a new topic on "Campaign Finance", and to Chapter 14 on the Judiciary we have added a topic on "Crime and the Courts." In addition to thesechanges, the chapters on Federalism, Public Opinion, the Presidency, and the Civil Rights subtopic "Affirmative Action" now contain completely new selections. Finally, of the articles we have retained from the previous edition, somehave been updated, including Howard Zinn's essay on the meaning of democracy, Robert Weissberg's defense of the Electoral College, and Paul Herrnson's analysis of third parties in the American context.- 01346
