Indeks : Indeks ; This is perhaps the only book of its kind which deals with the subject matter of Confidential Reports in a comprehensive manner and contains up-to-date instructions on writing and maintenance of Confidential Report of Government Servants including officers of All India Services. The importance of an Annual Confidential Report for a Government Servant is immense since it is the basic document on the basis of which his future service career depends. Most of the Reporting/Reviewing Officers really do not get to know how an objective Confidential Report is written, due to lack of adequate guidelines. Elaborate guidelines have been given in this book which will help the concerned officers in projecting objective assessment of the Reportee. The scope of judicial interference in matters relating to Confidential Reports has been discussed at great length by incorporating important pronouncements on the subject by the courts. Recent trends in effecting changes in the present system of Report writing have also been incorporated by referring to the recommendations of the Surendranath Committee. Several Appendices have been added to enhance the practical utility of the book.
