This book is not an exhaustive examination of all facets of the criminal justice process. Its intent is to present, with broad brush strokes, information on the structure and operations of the criminal justice system while at the same time identifying some of the more significant chalenges and controversies that arise at each stage of the justice process in Cananda with that of other Western countries.
