Indeks : Index ; The seminar on Ageing in the 21 Century: Japan and Singapore organized jointly by the Department of Japanese Studies and the Department of Social Work and Psychology, National University of Singapore, and held in Singapore on 30-31 August 1990, was not intended to demonstrate similarities and dissimilarities on issue of the countries' ageing populations. Instead, it was created as a forum to exchange ideas and facilitate learning between the two countries, where a multidisciplinary group of experts and specialists from the two societies were invited to share their knowledge on how the two countries are preparing fro the critical decades to come in the early part of the 21st century.
