=520    $$a The Constitutional Court of Korea was established on September 1st, 1988, as part of the 9th revision of the constitution, which reflected the Korean people's deep enthusiasm for democracy. the court is currently in its 18th year of existence.
In the last 18 years, the constitutional Court has examined 13.500 cases with 12.000 case resolved, among which some 460 laws were held unconstitutional, and in 240 cases the exercise of public authority were revoked for infringing upon individual rights.
