Our commitment to helping students has long motivated us to be active in course development and textbook reviews. We have always endeavored to contributed to human service education directly or indirectly. Having the opportunity to write this text was a great learning adventure. Similarly, revising and adding new material to this book has been equally rewarding and challenging. The concept of this text originated at a conference in human services in 1994. As we reviewed a text with a colleague, we realized that many years of agency and teaching experience had provided us with a wealth of information about the field. It seemed feasible to incorporate our experiences and knowledge into a text for beginning helpers. =650 4$$a Human Services =650 4$$a Social Work =990 ##$$a 11016/MKRI-P/XI-2008 =990 ##$$a 11017/MKRI-P/XI-2008 =990 ##$$a 11017/MKRI-P/XI-2008 =990 ##$$a 11016/MKRI-P/XI-2008 =990 ##$$a 11016/MKRI-P/XI-2008 =990 ##$$a 11017/MKRI-P/XI-2008
