The latest figure on cases brougth before employment tribunals suggest that the statutory dispute resolations prosedures, introduced in 2004, have failed to achive the objective of resolving more dispute in the workplace without recourse to tribunals and, the Goverment has announced a review of the procedure. The much awaited transfers of Undertakings (Protections of Employment) Regulations 2006 came into force,it remains to be seen whether they offer more or less protection than their predecessors.
