| Abstrak | Most of the present volume is taken up with there subtantial decision of international tribunals: the two jurisdictional decisions of the International Court of Justice in the Qatar v.Bahrain case,delivered in 1994 and 1995,and the award of the United Kingdom-Unites States Arbitration in the Healhrow Airport case.In view of the importance of the Helathrow case on a number of points,we have published the award and the more importance supplementary decisions in full.In addition,the volume countain a selection of decision from national courts in swizerland and the Philippines. It is with great pleasure that we also publish(at pages to xxiii)the text of the lecture entitle"The judiciary,International and National,and the Development of International Law".This lecture was delivered by H.E. Judge Sir Robert Jennings on 5 October to mark the publication of the centenary volume of the International Law Reports.A version of this lecture appeared in the International and Comparative LAw Quaertely. |
