Subjek Democracy
Abstrak This book is at times highly polemical, and sometimes the polemics are targeted at the work of my friends and colleagues. I trust that my friends and colleagues will welcom the critical engagement. In general, the polemical tone is explained by the exaggerated degree to which contemporary Deweyans present Deweyan democracy not only as the only pragmatist option in political theory, but as the only option in political theory as such. Two crucial instances of revision are worth emphasizing here. The first concerns my understanding of Peirce. Ina few early essays, especially my " On the Supposed Tension in Peirce's. The second concerns my views concerning Dewey and Deweyan democracy.
