Subjek Law Reform
Abstrak This book contains the findings of studies on and recommendations for law reform in Indonesia. Since 2000, the National Law Commission has been engaged in the process of conducting studies and formulating these recommendations in collaboration with a number of working groups from various parts of Indonesia. The studies were conducted based on fourteen specific work programs categorized in to four key areas, namely, the executive, legislature, legal system and legal profession. The studies involved the collection of data and the procession of suggestions, advice and criticism received from all levels of society, with the primary consideration at all times being the need for the principles of good governance to be upheld. Thus, it is safe to say that these studies were truly based on a bottom-up approach, rather than the top-down approach that has been traditionally applied in Indonesia.
